By creating an account, downloading the CardDex mobile app, or using the CardDex web application at carddex.gg ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These terms are between you and DannyBartokLLC ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of CardDex. Use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms.
CardDex is a trading card collection tracker, market price tool, and community platform. It allows users to scan cards, track collections, monitor market values, access pricing and grading data, and connect with other collectors. CardDex supports multiple trading card games including Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana, Rift Bound, and others added in the future.

Market prices and card data are sourced from third-party providers and are for informational purposes only. Prices may not reflect actual transaction prices. CardDex is not a marketplace and does not facilitate card sales.
You must create an account to access most features. You may sign up using email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (16 in the European Economic Area).
Free plan: CardDex offers a free tier with core collection tracking features and limited scan credits.
Pro plan: CardDex Pro is available for $9.99/month and includes expanded scan credits (500/month), advanced tools including Buying Buddy, Grading Tool, Trade Binder, Daily Brief, and all future Pro features.
Free trial: New Pro subscribers receive a 2-week free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will be charged $9.99 on day 15 unless you cancel before then. Trial eligibility is one per account.
Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis. All payments are processed by Stripe. CardDex does not store your full payment card details.
No in-app purchases: CardDex subscriptions are managed exclusively through the CardDex website at carddex.gg. We do not offer subscriptions or in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store billing systems. This means Apple and Google do not handle refunds for CardDex subscriptions — all billing inquiries go to support@carddex.gg.
Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings at carddex.gg. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Access to Pro features continues until the period ends. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.
Price changes: We reserve the right to change Pro pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.
App Store distribution: The CardDex iOS app is distributed through the Apple App Store. The CardDex Android app is distributed through the Google Play Store. Your use of these apps is also subject to Apple's and Google's respective terms of service.
App updates: We may push updates to the mobile apps via Vercel (for web-based features) without requiring an app store review. Native app shell updates will be delivered through the respective app stores. We recommend keeping the app updated for the best experience and latest security patches.
Permissions: The CardDex app requests the following device permissions:
We will always explain why a permission is needed before requesting it. You can revoke permissions at any time via your device settings without losing account access.
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice in cases of severe violations.
You retain ownership of content you upload to CardDex, including card photos and collection notes. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and process that content for the purpose of providing the Service.
You represent that you own or have the rights to any content you upload and that it does not infringe on any third party's rights.
CardDex and its original content — including the app design, code, branding, logo, and UI — are owned by DannyBartokLLC and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
Card names, artwork, set logos, and game content are the property of their respective rights holders (The Pokémon Company/Nintendo, Bandai, Ravensburger, etc.). CardDex displays this content under fair use for informational purposes and does not claim ownership of third-party card content.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting support@carddex.gg.
Upon deletion: your personal data and collection data will be removed within 30 days; your Pro subscription will be cancelled and access will end at the next billing date; financial transaction records are retained as required by law. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Apple and Android users: deleting the app from your device does not delete your CardDex account. You must delete your account through the app or via email.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
Price data is for informational purposes only. Do not make financial decisions based solely on prices shown in CardDex.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DannyBartokLLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — CardDex, including any financial losses based on card price information displayed in the app.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
For users in the European Union: nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable EU law.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
